On last 4/09/2009 UROVESA delivered a batch of new Fire-fighting trucks for the Galician Government. The reception event was attended by the Counselor of Regional Government Rural Areas Department, Mr. Samuel Juárez Casado. The vehicles were officially delivered to the chiefs of the Province Forest Fire-Fighting Prevention and Defense Services by Mr. Tomás Fernandez-Couto, General Director of Forest Department,.
The delivered trucks corresponded to F3-24.14 model, and are fitted with a 240 PS engine and a water tank of 3.500 liters capacity. As specific particularity of these vehicles, we can mention that they are fitted with a state-of-the-art automatic gearbox specially developed for fire-fighting vehicles, that improves the all-terrain performance of the vehicles and make much easier either the driving and the maintenance of the units, as well as the work of the fire water-pump.
UROVESA is the forest fire-fighting trucks market leader in Spain, with a current fleet of more than 500 units distributed among Regional, Province and Local Governments, and state-owned or private companies devoted to fire-fighting services and environment protection.

UROVESA will shortly introduce its new version of the VAMTAC with Right Hand Drive steering wheel, destined to all those markets where that system is required, more than fifty countries al over the world.

This development involves a redesign in multiple parts of the vehicle, so that some components must be installed in a different position, whereas other elements need a complete redesign.

The first prototypes are almost finished, and they will be subject of a complete and intense validation and testing process before being marketed.

UROVESA showed its civil and military versions of the VAMTAC vehicle at IDEX 2009, one of the most important worldwide events of its sector.

During the exhibition, the stand of UROVESA received a large number of visitors, very useful in order to improve the position of UROVESA in the Middle East, and that may lead to establish new strategic alliances for future potential projects in the markets of the Gulf area.
