VAMTAC Military

Firefighting Units

The involvement of military units such as the Spanish UME (Military Emergency Unit) in the fight against natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies such as fire, has required the development of firefighting units, usually for civilian use in fire brigades, more suited to firefighting requirements and military applications.

As for civil applications, a balance is sought between manoeuvrability in complex terrains in extreme climatic conditions and the extinguishing capacity with maximum safety and space for the necessary equipment.

Other special firefighting military vehicular units in service are related to the use of manoeuvre fields and / or drones.

Lightweight pumper trucks

The VAMTAC chassis configuration with a truck type cab with a GVM of almost 10 tons, combines the excellent off-road capabilities with a greater capacity for the rear bodywork which can hold a tank up to 3,000 litres, along with all other equipment required.

The fact that it is equipped with thermal protection systems for working near fire makes it an excellent light pumper truck to reach fires by travelling along forest tracks.
